Nokia N900 kế tục các model tablet của Nokia nhưng có thể gọi điện, mạnh về kết nối, bộ nhớ trong 32 GB. Không chờ đợi đến Nokia World, hôm qua nhà sản xuất di động số một thế giới chính thức giới thiệu chiếc tablet lai smartphone N900, model thuộc dòng N-series và sẽ là phiên bản nối tiếp dòng tablet của hãng đi trước, nhắm vào các tính năng giải trí đa phương tiện, lướt web di động. N900 tiếp tục sử dụng hệ điều hành Maemo, phiên bản bản 5.0, dựa trên nền Linux. Nếu như thế hệ tablet đi trước của Nokia chỉ đơn thuần là thiết bị lướt web, giải trí, thì N900 có thể gọi điện, máy hỗ trợ các kết nối 3G/HSPA, Wi-Fi như smartphone thực thụ. N900 chạy trên bộ vi xử lý ARM Cortex-A8 giống như iPhone 3GS của Apple hay Palm Pre, Samsung Omnia HD, mạnh mẽ về độ họa, RAM 256 MB. Nokia cho biết, với tốc độ xử lý mạnh mẽ, N900 hỗ trợ luân chuyển giữa các ứng dụng mượt mà, xử lý các nội dung, chương trình nhanh chóng. Màn hình Home của N900 cho phép người dùng cá nhân hóa các shortcut, widget, ứng dụng yêu thích. Giống Nokia N97, N900 có màn hình cảm ứng rộng 3,5 inch, độ phân giải WVGA 800 x 480 pixel, khi trượt ra, máy để lộ 3 hàng nút bấm trên bàn phím QWERTY. Ngoài ra, màn hình cũng hỗ trợ bàn phím ảo, cho phép dùng bút, đi vào các ứng dụng bên trong. Nokia N900 sở hữu bộ nhớ 32 GB, cho phép mở rộng thêm 16 GB bằng thẻ nhớ microSD. Các tính năng khác giống dòng smartphone của N-series như GPS chạy bản đồ Ovi Maps, đài FM, giắc cắm tai nghe 3,5 mm, cổng TV-out, Bluetooth và xem phim độ nét cao với các file DivX, XivD. Model này còn sở hữu camera 5 Megapixel, ống kính Carl Zeiss, ghi hình với tỷ lệ 16:9, 848 x 480 pixel, 25 hình/giây. N900 sẽ được Nokia mang ra thị trường vào tháng 10 năm nay, giá bán lẻ của máy là 500 Euro.
