Featuring 2 of Tascam's Ultra-HDDA low noise microphone/line inputs, the US-2x2 2-Channel USB Audio Interface from Tascam is capable of tracking 2 channels simultaneously in up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution to your compatible Mac, Windows, or iOS device. The device features an angled aluminum design allowing for easy visibility when placed on a desktop. It can be USB bus powered or connected to an AC power source with an optional AC adapter.

Overview:

The US-366 from Tascam is a USB 2.0 digital audio interface that can be configured as either a four input/six output, or a six input/four output device. The unit features two low noise microphone preamps with phantom power, digital I/O, a built-in digital mixer and effects, and low latency monitoring. Steinberg's Cubase LE 6 software bundle is included to facilitate out of the box use on a user's Mac or Windows based computer.

Inputs include XLR and 1/4" TRS connectors with the ability to switch Line 1 input to a Hi-Z input for direct connection of electric guitars or other electronic instruments. The converters allow for up to 24-bit/192kHz recording and the internal processing is 24-bit throughout, although internal effect use is limited to 44.1 or 48kHz sound sources.

The DSP mixer functions in two modes. The multi-track mode is ideal for music creation delivering independent monitor mixing with send-levels, as can be found on an inline-console. In addition, the mode delivers mono monitoring. The stereo-mix mode is geared towards easy and convenient podcast recording or broadcasting.

On-board DSP effects include a compressor, 3-band EQ, and reverb. Input effects can be used during recording, while the reverb can be applied to any monitoring signal at the same time. Low-latency monitoring is available from the on-board digital mixer, and volume can be monitored and adjusted easily with the oversized dedicated top panel knob.

A conveniently placed "Mixer Panel" button located on top of the unit provides a one-click recall function for the DSP-mixer. An optional footswitch allows for hands-free operation of a DAW transport control via either "Mackie Control" or "HUI" emulation. The unit is housed in a compact, aluminum desktop housing and is USB bus powered, especially useful for mobile use.

The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 is a 2 in / 2 out USB recording interface featuring two award-winning Focusrite preamps. Keep an eye on your levels
Unique halo signal indicators let you know that you've got a good signal level for recording. Red means that your signal is clipping, and that you should reduce the gain. The halo will momentarily turn amber as the level returns to a healthy level, at which point it will turn green.

Flexible monitoring options
A large monitor dial provides a tactile control for the volume of your speakers, whilst a high quality headphone amp provides a clean yet loud signal to headphones connected to the front panel socket. The direct monitor switch routes audio directly from the inputs to both the headphone and speaker outputs. This allows you to monitor the incoming signal with zero-latency.

The included Scarlett Plug-In suite provides effects compatible with all major DAWs; so whether you're using GarageBand, Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic or the included Ableton Live Lite, Scarlett 2i2 is the complete package for you to get recording straight away.

Unique LED Gain Halos
The gain halos which surround the gain knob for each input provides an easy way to know that the signal you're recording is the right level. It will show green when the signal is at a good level (above -24dBFS). If it turns to red, you know that the signal is too loud and is therefore clipping - if this happens, simply reduce the gain until the halo returns to green.

Direct Monitor Function
Flick the direct monitor switch on the front panel of your 2i2 and you will hear what you're recording through your speakers or headphones, without the signal having to go through your computer. This avoids the possibility of latency, which can be distracting when recording.

Overview:

The M-Track Plus from M-Audio can easily transform a laptop into a mobile studio by accommodating any input, from an electric guitar to a condenser microphone, while utilizing a circuit designed to minimize laptop battery drain. Coaxial S/PDIF, per channel inserts and dedicated MIDI connectors further extend the versatility of the interface, with a single USB cable providing both power and a data connection to and from a laptop or desktop computer.

Each channel offers an XLR input designed to work with microphones or other Lo-Z sources and a balanced 1/4" input can be set to receive line level signal, or switched to allow an electric guitar or bass to be plugged directly into the unit. The gain knob ensures the proper input level and the phantom power switch delivers 48V to the XLR inputs for use with professional condenser microphones. Low latency monitoring of the input signal is provided either through the speakers or via headphones.

A monitor mix knob adjusts the balance between the direct inputs and the playback from the computer software. Additionally, input signals can be monitored in stereo or mono. The headphone output features a dedicated level control. The unit also supports sixteen channels of MIDI data and timing information with the MIDI in and MIDI out jack compatible with all MIDI equipment. Multi-color LED metering provides visual feedback of the main output levels, as well as the status of various settings.

Overview:

The Samson C01UCW is a cost effective USB recording microphone for plug-and-play operation with Windows and Mac based computers. The C01UCW utilizes a condenser element for pristine, detailed sound quality. The USB port provides audio directly to computers without additional hardware and power is supplied from the computer USB port.

The Windows SoftPre applet software provides added features that include remote operation over volume control, high-pass filter and phase switch. Its hypercardioid polar pattern greatly reduces signal at the off-axis (indirect) sections of the capsule, reducing ambient noise and providing high gain before feed back. The C01UCW is an ideal solution for desktop producers, musicians and Podcasters.

USB Connection
The USB port provides audio directly to computers without additional hardware and power is supplied from the computer USB port.
Hypercardioid Pickup Pattern
The C01 features a hypercardioid pick up pattern, greatly reducing signal and noise at the off-axis sections of the capsule. This results in minimal pick up of indirect signals and higher gain before feed back.
Samson SoftPre applet Software
The Windows SoftPre applet software provides added features that include remote operation over volume control, high-pass filter and phase switch.
