Money is very important. It helps you to get food, accommodation. it pays your bill and debt but it's not all.

With money, you can buy a house but not nest. Your money can buy sex but not love.. ect..

so we should use money as a mean of life, not the target to reach.

You shouldn't use the word "Important" to define money , "Crucial" or "Vital" should be better , by the fact that none of us could live without a coin or two in our pocket

There are slogans amidst the rich "Money can't buy happiness" , "Money is not everything" etc. Well , screw them , these are for people who live in luxury . These slogans are common in Europe , the place where people don't have much worry about financial issue

For us , the most common slogan about money is :"Money eventually can buy fairies" . Vietnamese never deny the vitality of money cuz we have experienced poverty for years

 

and my sloga :"what can not be bought by money,it can be by more money"

Well. I think this is ridiculous to you but it works well for me to study English without using my money. I study English by watching movies, listening to music, and more importantly, I learn English by playing games, some games will talk a lot like StarCraft 2, GTA..... or other games. You should start by improving your confidence when speaking English. You can practice your English skills by joining some English clubs in HCMC.

Totally agree with this guy, i'm 16 and i stop learning English for about a year and a half, and yeah, i watch lots and lots of movies,everytime there are new block busters coming out, i google and download, then while i was watching these movies, if i don't know what the hell does that word means, i hit the dictionary, so if i don't know many words in one movie, it took me bout 3hours to watch the whole friggin' movie LOL!!, One more thing, i'm always listen to music, mostly rap, because i wanna learn street slang, most of american teen use street slang nowaday, now , i 've gotta say, my english skill pretty good, i talk like an American, sound like an American, Even I can realise the different between what a Red Neck American , Russian, Australia, French, Indian, Arab, Chinese,and Japanese when they speak English,BOTTOMLINE, if u haven't try this kind of learning English, U Should, No! U HAVE TO , cause it's fun to learn, and easy to remember

 

In my opinion, if you want to learn English not for Academic purposes, you can learn whatever way you want to, but if you want to study in an international environment, it is not enough. One of my English teacher (he has 8.5 IELTS) told me that i should improve my writing skill because it is extremely important for my future career, and i think that movies do not teach you how to write, right ?
